It is time to bring things up to date. The first four months of 2010 are over and there have been many changes in our lives.
Last year when we had a break job done on the camper we were told to use it more. The brakes will rust and flake away from lack of use. So we have been using it for short rides around the area.
Having missed Christmas in Waupun due to bad weather, Mike and Eileen went with us for a ride to visit Merrill, and Jean.
Our plan was to take a winter break, and go to Gulf Port, MS once again the weather did not cooperate. When we were ready to go in late February it was cold and snowing very far south.
Spring came early to Sheboygan this year. My flowers started blooming in late March, and our Maple tree was in bloom in early April. Almost a month early then usual.
With spring here we purchased a new porch door hiring someone else to install it. Ralph has been doing the finishing work. A job he does very well.
Roberta sold her house the end of March and purchased a home closer to us. (Kaleigh can come over on her bike) Many hours in April have been spent helping them. You can check her progress at ( krafty1.typepad.com )
Now it is May. When we canceled our trip south we started planning one east. The plan is to leave on May 12. Our second day should find us traveling along the Skyline Rd. in Virginia, where we hope to walk part of the Appalachian Trail.
From there we are of to Washington D.C. We have reserved five nights at Cherry Hill Park on the north side of D.C.. From that location we will have access to mass transportation, allowing us to leave our home in the park.
So before we leave Chris told us to post a blog, allowing him to check out the system. So here goes just checking.
We invite everyone to join along via this blog.
